Kitchen Crafts: No-Sew Farmer’s Market Bag
I made this bag as a Christmas gift for my mom. I regrettably never took Granny up on her numerous offers to teach me how to sew, so I was excited at the idea of being able to construct a bag without using a sewing machine. The actual process of putting together the bag was surprisingly easy. (You literally use a stapler and duct tape—I’m totally not kidding)! The part that ended up being the most time consuming was cutting the fabric to the appropriate dimensions and adhering the iron-on vinyl. (The vinyl step could be skipped if you opt for a sturdy liquid-resistant material such as oil cloth). In addition to written instructions, there is a video to watch, which was essential to my success in completing the bag. This project wasn’t touted as a “farmer’s market bag,” but I think that is the perfect use, especially with the wet-produce-resistant innards! You can take a peek at the how-to and instructional video here.
